It's confirmed; Simply Chantique's Carrot Walnut Cake is a hit!

Hahahahaha... just feel like bragging tonight. I guess a small dose of vanity won't hurt right? Right? Right? ekekekeke.. it just feels good when customers 'crave' for our cakes or cupcakes. In the case of JKNS Penampang, they were celebrating November birthdays & chose to order, for the countless number of time; our scrumptious, healthy & delicious Carrot Walnut cake with Cream Cheese topping. Yeayyy! Wirdi was quoted saying; it's more delicious than the one at S****t R*c***.. Wowwee.. please don't sue me but that just feels sooo gooooodddd... so good! Hehehehe.. Thank you so much, it's quite an achievement for Simply Chantique's, to be compared with an established eatery.

Here it is... Thanks a zillion!

who would have thought that baby carrots make a unique deco on my cake!

November Birthdays for Staff at Bank Rakyat, Likas.

It's a trend nowadays I guess, to celebrate a collective birthdays of staff at work, and that's good! It shows just how valuable manpower is as an asset in ensuring the productivity of any workplace regardless of the nature of work involved. Hehehe.. I started off this posting in a serious mode but it's true. Too often most employers forgot to appreciate their employees. It's not that difficult really, a simple 'thank you' would do. A dinner party is welcome hehehehe...

Ok, these cakes were ordered by Yanni of Bank Rakyat, Likas to celebrate the birthdays of staff who were born in November (sorry for the late posting; GUILTY of major busy-ness hiii...). A kilo each of fresh strawberry cake & yam cake. Yanni also happens to be the younger sis of our previous customer; Anna. Thank you so much Yanni, hope all of you had a blast!

The mouth watering strawberry fresh cream filling.. with big chunks of strawberries added.

my oh my...

and of course, what's a fresh fruit cake without fresh fruit topping

..and now the yam cake, with chunks of yam in the filling.. it's the REAL deal darling..hehehe

Happy Birthday Lorelai!

It's a Small World
By Richard M. and Robert B. Sherman (Song for the infamous Disney Theme Park Ride)

It's a world of laughter,
A world of tears.
It's a world of hopes,
And a world of fears.
There's so much that we share,
That it's time we're aware,
It's a small world after all.
Chorus:

It's a small world after all.
It's a small world after all.
It's a small world after all.
It's a small, small world.

There is just one moon,
And one golden sun.
And a smile means,
Friendship to every one.
Though the mountains divide,
And the oceans are wide,
It's a small world after all.
(Repeat chorus)

Oh.. please forgive me but I just feel like singing this song today hehehe.. I guess this particular order of Brenda really reminds me of this song.

Brenda is my friend; Jay's colleague. We discussed, settled everything then came the day for her to pickup the cake. She asked her husband to do it, husband asked from whom? She mentioned my name. He asked her to double check if it's the correct name. She did..and it's confirmed= Joy, Brenda's husband was my classmate in secondary school! Hehehehe it's a small world after all. Thank you so much Brenda & I hope dear Lorelai enjoyed this. Happy Birthday little Barbie!

Here's the chocolate blueberry cake with fresh cream topping & of course sweet Lorelai's pic;

A Very Happy Barbie-Birthday for Nadeera Kamellia

"Of all the rights of women, the greatest is to be a mother."
-- Lin Yutang

I may not be a mother myself, not yet at the moment at least, but ever since we first started our business more than a year ago, we've been receiving numerous orders from mothers for their children's birthday and my.. how I admire them for knowing every bit and detail of what their kids would love to see on the cakes or cupcakes. As for the flavor, it's mummy's choice all the way hehehehe...

The same is the case for this particular order by Baizura of Luyang. The pink Barbie cake was for her daughter; Nadeera Kamellia's 6th Birthday. She wanted it to be exactly like the one I'd made before with some minor adjustments. The base was yam cake. She had also ordered pandan & orange cupcakes for her dear daughter. They were supposed to be decorated with edible images of Barbie but it was such a short notice so I didn't get the chance to order. So sorry for that :-(

But worry no more ladies & gentleman, my latest 'secret gadget' will be arriving soon... hehehehehe.. not really a secret there. Baizura, thank you so much for the order & I hope Nadeera loved the cake and cupcakes. Happy Birthday darling!

..and of course here are the cupcakes in orange & green

A 3-tier Wedding Cakes with 3 Different Flavors for Anna

It was a hectic week for us at Simply Chantique's but we just couldn't resist wedding cakes! That's our weakness.. GUILTY! hehehe...

Okay this time we received the order from Anna of Liasara Restaurant in Likas for her cousin's wedding in King Fisher. She ordered a 3-tier cakes with different flavor for every tier; bottom tier = yam cake, middle tier = chocolate blueberry and the top tier = our delicious steamed fruit cake. The theme colors were baby blue and pink, a pretty combination.

Anna had also ordered 50 pieces of L size chocolate moist cupcakes individually packed, in the same colors. Thank you so much Anna and wait for our latest update on out business proposition hehehehe.. yippie!!

We prefer an unconventional method in decorating our cakes. Afterall they are homemade hehehe... so why should they be perfect looking right? It's the taste that counts..

Here are the cupcakes

with the polka dot blue and pink ribbons

Sakura Haruno for Sweet Andrea's Birthday

"A mother holds her children's hands for a while...their hearts forever."
- Author Unknown

What can surpass a mother's love for her children? When Puan Dulipa first contacted me and 'briefed' me on the details of her order for her darling daughter, Andrea's birthday, it hit me how my own mother seems to know all my whims and fancies even without me having to tell her. Isn't that MAGIC!

Having catered quite a number of orders from thoughtful mothers for their children's birthday, it has given us at Simply Chantique's a truly wonderful experience, not only in fulfilling both mothers' & their kids' wishes, but in sharing the love as well. Hence the extra personal touches, here & there, without any extra charges. Thank you so much cikgu Dulipa!

A mother's love is unconditional. Cherish your mother, mummy, mama, emak, ibu while you still have the chance. Mak, I LOVE YOU!!

The theme color was blue and the image chosen was that of a famous Japanese animation character; Sakura Haruno. These are the individually packed vanilla blueberry cupcakes with fresh cream topping.

..and here's the Chocolate Vanilla Marble Cake covered in mouth watering choc ganache yummm..

Of course Simply Chantique's was the official door gifts supplier for the reception at Dewan Perdana Lahad Datu.
