31 January 2012 ~ All the way to Cyber City Apartment my RV went.. to the waiting hands of Raieza Hanim. Nice name kan? Kan? Kan??
Hehehe... am in the mood for poetry now but before I bore you with that let me concentrate on my appreciation for Raieza dulu ya.. sabar...
She had ordered a set of 25pcs of RV cupcakes frosted in cream cheese with choc paste filling. Did I hear 'Yummy!" in the background??? Indeed... Thank you so much dear. Hope you enjoyed them as much as I did making them.
Okay okay now let's get back to my poetic mood. I got an A+ you see in my 1st semester doing poetry. I can still remember our very young lecturer from the UK, Mr. Tim Marshall's the name. When he first entered our class.. I could still remember how all the girls went quiet in adoration hihihihi... He's such a sweet handsome chap!
...and when he recited poems.. we all went "ooohhhh...." and "aaahhhhh...." not sure of the type & gist of the poem but it didn't matter. We really looked forward to his class and the 'invisible discrete' competition to woo him started ngeh ngeh ngeh.. some of the boys joined in as well! Don't get me wrong just yet ya... wooing him in terms of doing good in class that is.
I remember our major assignment for that semester was to come up with 10 pieces of originally written poems in 10 different types. I can only recall Haiku, Iambic Pentameter, Sonnet, Ballad, Prose, Ode, Monologue and.. Ya Rabbi.. Mr. Tim wouldn't be so proud if he reads this hihihihi.. cut me some slack people it was way back in 1994 for poetry's sake!
So 10 poems I wrote.. typed actually with my humble electric typewriter.. yeah yeah.. no body had lappy back then. Mobile phone?? Never heard of. Life was much cheaper & easier when it comes to techno thingies. You youngsters are so lucky nowadays! I can hardly catch up with what's in & deemed as latest. It's a nasty competition on who has the latest & most expensive.
Those were the days... with beloved Mr. Tim. Can you guess which one is me?? Hihihi....
Mr. Tim gave me an A+. Yeayyy!! So in the spirit of reminiscing the past.. I am sharing with you my dear readers, the one & only surviving group photo that I have with all my classmates during matric, who, alhamdulillah are still very much in touch, with our beloved Mr Tim Marshall. Oww sir.. where art thou???
